Norman Jean Roy is a photographer from NY and is truly a master of the photographic fashion world. His shots have been plastered all over Vogue and Elle, and have a distinct style. This shot that he has taken has inspired me through its use of colour and freshness. The location is perfect; seemingly being a Roman-esque building near the sea. When producing the images, I need to think about how the outfit and model compliment the location. The patterned blue dress compliments the white of the building and the blue of the sea well. If I was to take a shot outdoors in a woodland area, this might not have been a good choice of outfit, as it is too bright and 'pretty'!
